CATAMARAN
SAIL AND KAYAK SNORKEL COMBINATION TOUR
Information |
Creative
people think out of the box - this package sails you from the dock
to kayak in mangroves. This trip takes most of your day doing what
Key West has been known for - first, enjoy your sail on this lovely
catamaran. The cat will bring you to some incredible coral reefs,
part of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. Fish and marine
life are plentiful here as well as colorful and, if this is your
first time snorkeling, the crew on board will give you expert
instruction. Snorkel gear is provided for everyone.
Back on board, you can take a fresh water shower as the catamaran
heads for the backcountry. A good portion of the Lower Keys have
dense mangroves which are only accessible by boat. It's a totally
different environment than the reefs and just beautiful.
Your catamaran is your transportation to the kayaks, waiting for you
to do some real exploring. You will travel safari-style through some
of the most interesting portions of this peninsula where the
mangroves can be red, white or black.
On board your catamaran, you will be served a delicious buffet lunch
with beer, wine and soft drinks. Fresh fruit and homemade sangria
will top everything off. |

SNORKEL
WITH WILD DOLPHINS ECO-TOUR
Information
 |
This
neat couple actually takes you out to swim with wild dolphins!
Fifteen years ago, the captain of this catamaran started to have
encounters with dolphins on a beautiful white sand bank. Over the
years, he and his crew established a trusting relationship with a
pod of wild dolphin by showing patience and respect.
The outcome of this relationship is your opportunity to accompany a
team of naturalists who have spent years on the water in the company
of wild dolphins. You will observe them hunting, courting,
communicating, and teaching their young. You will do this in style,
on board a dolphin tour boat with rooms for changing, refrigerator,
freshwater shower, restroom and over 400 sq. ft. of deck space,
partially shaded. This boat also has an underwater microphone so you
can hear the dolphin's unique vocalization.
At the proper time, weather permitting, you will be directed to slip
into the water quietly and snorkel to the areas where the dolphins
live. Very often, we've been told, one or more dolphins will
approach you and scan you face-to-face.
Wild dolphins lead busy lives and we always treat them with the
respect they deserve. For instance, if the dolphins are sleeping,
foraging and feeding, or caring for their young, we will simply
watch from a respectable distance. We want to remind you that no one
can guarantee an encounter with wild dolphins in the water. But we
will promise that you will see and observe our friendly mammals and
most often, you will be able to interact as well. |

This
is pristine waters for snorkeling and gives you a lovely perspective
of Key West from the water The waters surrounding the Florida Keys
are home to the world's largest barrier coral reef system, with
thousands of acres of seagreasses and hundreds of miles of
mangrove-fringed shoreline. There is always the conflict here
whether the scenery is more beautiful and exciting above the water
or below.
This tour, therefore, is perfect as it takes you on a half-day
snorkel, allowing you to see the rest of Key West with the remainder
of your day.
You will start the tour with about an hour sail to these offshore
reefs, which are protected by the Florida Keys National Marine
Sanctuary. You will find snorkel gear as well as expert snorkeling
instruction on board. First-timers will appreciate the great
guidance they will receive on this tour. You will have plenty of
time, about an hour or so, to snorkel these very active waters.
On your return ride, you can enjoy cold soft drinks as well as
complimentary beer and wine. There are even fresh water showers on
board |

What
better place to get a perspective from the air than Key West? This
tour is two-fold. You will enjoy your coastline boatride as much as
you will be thrilled when you see everything from above. Not only
will you see some of the famous landmarks from above, but also
plenty of nature moving silently under such clear water it will
amaze you.
Your parasail is a 10 to 15 minute flight. During that time, others
aboard will spend their time enjoying the boat ride, which will
total about an hour. You may be lucky, both on water and in the air,
to see manta rays, dolphins, huge patches of bright coral and
perhaps even a shark!
You may parasail or choose to chicken out and just go along for the
boat ride. Either way, you will see Key West from its best
perspective. |

Let
your guide pedal you around in a comfortable 'rickshaw' style seat
and see it all! Hop on board these comfortable
rickshaw-style tour taxis and you will, before long, know every
important inch of the city of Key West as well as the back of your
driver's head!
Actually, a guide well-versed in the history of this city will take
you around town to see the sights, including the Audubon House and
Gardens, the Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Society, the Little White
House Museum, Sloppy Joe's, the Hemingway House and more than I can
possibly name.
You will even have an opportunity to stop at beautiful Southernmost
Point and take some photos.
This is a super way to get your bearings of the town and let you
know all you might want to enjoy after your tour. It is really your
own private history of Key West and we promise you will enjoy the
personal perspective of your guide as much as the introduction to
the city. |

Sail
with the wild dolphins and snorkel over a coral reef or shipwreck.
Check out Wild Dolphins and other sea-life in their natural habitat
in the shallow waters off Key West. You'll see dolphins swimming,
hunting & feeding together, jumping naturally, courting each
other, mating and even caring for their babies. When they 're not
too busy, they love to swim along with us, just like they do with
each other! The catamaran looks like two sleek dolphins from under
water. Dolphins can swim 30 MPH, so they always decide where they
go, but they seem to know and feel safe swimming along side us, so
they often do. They seem to know that we enjoy wild dolphins without
interfering with their natural habits according to the marine mammal
protection act. Mother nature makes every trip a little different.
Our second stop is a nearby shallow water shipwreck encrusted by the
coral reef, or wherever the calmest conditions are that day. We
snorkel in clear tropical waters supporting over 600 different
species of sea-life. We always strive for the calmest/clearest water
and provide excellent snorkeling instruction for floaters of all
ages. Sanitized snorkeling equipment is individually fitted to each
passenger.
Enjoy a fresh shower & a nice cool tropical fruit tray after
snorkeling, along with crunchy snacks, soft drinks and a great
cruise back to Key West. |

Special
clues will take you through a tour of Old Key West. What do you
think of when you think Key West? Ernest Hemingway, Mallory Square,
conch, and key lime pie are most likely the first things that come
to mind. Our tour is an interactive, one-of-a-kind trip where you
need to know absolutely nothing about the city before you start. One
thing is for sure, though, and that is you will be well-informed by
the time you leave, but in the most amusing way possible.
You will be given clues that will take you to historic sites,
landmarks, and local hotspots. Along the way, you will learn lots
about this place - fun facts and interesting trivia, while absorbing
the history of the nation's southernmost city.
It takes about three hours to complete the list, giving you the
opportunity to see just about the entire island and leaving you lots
of time to trace back some of your footsteps to shop or snack before
departing. As you are on your own, no one will be looking if you
energize yourself with a fresh piece of their famous pie. After all,
limes count as a fruit!

had a wonderful trip and the shore excursions
that I booked thru Shoretrips were delightful.
I could offer some suggestions to Disney - ha!
But I don't think they would listen. I cannot
think of any way you could improve. The glass
bottom boat was awesome and so was the
submarine. Thank you for making our trip
special. |

Much
better than alot of other glass bottom boats,
the angled windows for viewing were great.
Plenty of room in the lower deck for viewing.
Had a running commentary on the different sea
life which was educational and interesting for
all ages. Upper decks provided an
air-conditioned indoor cabin, shade and open
outdoor areas. Captain and crew knew the area
and found plenty for us to see, despite
unusual weather conditions which changed the
usual routing. Even
had dolphins riding our bow on the way out!
Boat crew was very friendly and helpful. I
would recommend this tour for people who want
to see sea life without getting into the water
and want an informative explanations of the
creatures down-below. Good for less active
people, seniors, and families with
children. Good restaurant/bar at dock area. |

This exhilirating trip around Key West and the surrounding islands
will give you a personalized tour of the beautiful coastline of our
southernmost state. Yes, you will actually travel all the way around

What
better way to acquaint yourselves in Key West than to hunt for the

of the tales as well as interesting, often famous, sights. But the
idea of learning your way by traveling from one hotspot to another
has great appeal while vacationing in such a terrific party town.

Nast raves about this tour - grab a walking stick and hike the
Glades! Our guide has created a new Everglades wet adventure for all
those South Florida travelers who want more than just the beauty of
the beaches or some boring airboat ride. These days hikes are sure
to bring out the adventurer in all of us while focusing attention on
one of Florida’s most unique and endangered places-- the Florida
Everglades.
Your first stop will blow your mind! Here, in the middle of the
Cypress Wildlife Preserve, you will stop to see the world-famous
black-and-white photography of Clyde Butcher. This stunning work
will focus your attention on your next few hours and really show you
the different moods of the glades.
Then you will be outfitted with a walking stick and wet shoes so you
can make your way on foot safari-style through crystal clear water
as native orchids and bromeliads hang overhead. Trained field guides
and biologists lead travelers through biologically diverse
ecosystems in search of wading birds, river otters and the
occasional alligator. Explore backcountry described by nature
writers as "a beautiful, rugged, subtropical landscape
experienced by a relative few adventurous souls each year."
There is nothing to fear, though, as you walk safely through this
famous environment and, as you travel, you will surely be thinking
about the great story you will take back home with you.
You have surely earned something after this, if not an award - then
a reward! That might be lunch, as you dine in unexpected luxury with
china, silver, and wine accompanying a luscious lunch. The contrast,
of course, is the a good part of the fun.
This is one of those usual experiences that make a day away an

Meet
the Miccosukee Indians and join them on an airboat search of the
Florida alligator. Skip across the shallow waters and sawgrass
prairie of the Florida Everglades with our Native American guides
for a tour of natural wonders and historical discovery through one
of the world’s most threatened and beautiful wild places. Watch in
wonder as Great Blue Herons, Egrets, Woodstorks, and Ibis come home
to roost as we travel into the true heart of the Florida Everglades.
It is here among the sawgrass prairie that remote cypress islands
filled with Seminole and Miccosukee history still exist and it is
here that our adventure begins . . .
Only accessible by airboat, we will travel 14 miles into the
Everglades to experience a historic Miccosukee/Seminole island camp.
Still used today these camps serve as a rare glimpse into
Florida’s Native American history. Upon arrival our Miccosukee
guide will speak at length on the history, culture and way of life
that his people found here in the late 1800’s after escaping the
United States government’s grasp and vanishing into the Glades.
As the sun sets we will walk the island that our guide's family
called home, to hear how the Seminole and Miccosukee families
learned to live in harmony for generations in what many considered
an unliveable landscape.
After the talk we will board our airboat to search the darkness for
one of the Everglades’ most famous residents, the Florida
Alligator. Peer in amazement as our guide’s searchlight cuts
through the night to reveal hundreds of red eyes staring back toward
us from the dark waters of the Florida Everglades. A sure and
exciting example of the once endangered alligator’s strong return
. . . and a great way to end the night.

The
most famous tour in Miami is now available to ShoreTrips customers.

I don't know when he finds the time! He is an unbelievably smart and
energetic man, and is quite an entertainer. You will love his style.
Join your guide as you investigate Miami's historic crimes and
criminals such as the murders of Stanley Cohen and Gianni Versace
just to name a couple. You will look at sites of the most
sensational crimes in the history of Dade County, as well as sites
of criminal justice institutions, burial places of criminal justice
figures, both enforcement, villians, and victims.

A
history of the African-American people, events, and neighborhoods of
Miami. There are two areas that were thriving centers for the
African-American communities in Miami. Overtown was located just
next to downtown Miami and was sliced in half when the highways were
built. Liberty City grew out of that destruction of Overtown, when
families left searching for larger quarters.
Overtown is now welcoming a restoration of buildings that at one
time contained a lot of history. During prosperous years, the
African-American community made progress in their involvement in
government and politics. Black entertainers, such as Billie Holiday,
Cab Calloway, Ella Fitzgerald, and Nat King Cole, stayed in Overtown
and entertained there. The all-black Coconut Festival started in
Overtown when the community was not allowed to attend the Orange
Bowl.
Liberty City still boasts of local artists full of civic pride. Its
African Heritage Cultural Arts Center is a hub of activity still
today.
We will tour 3 or 4 historically important black neighborhoods by
bus, including Overtown, black Coconut Grove, Little Haiti, and
Liberty City. In each, we will discuss its history, major events,
structures, and sites, as well as its most famous figures.
Your guide will fill you with true stories and tales of the past and
bring you up to the bustle that is taking over these areas. |

Snorkel
or dive on the famous wreck - the Yacht Germania. Skip across the
shallow waters of Biscayne bay in search of sunken history as we
snorkel on the site of Miami’s first and only underwater
archaeological preserve.
Built in 1906 at Kiel, Germany, the 366 ton, schooner-rigged steel
yacht Germania participated in the prestigious Kaiser Cup races and
Cowes regattas before being captured as a prize of war by the
British in 1914. Auctioned in 1917, she was renamed Exen and brought
to the United States by her new Norwegian owner. Purchased by a
former Assistant Secretary of the Navy and renamed Half Moon in
1922, the yacht nearly sank during a severe storm off of Cape
Hatteras. Sold again shortly thereafter, she served as a floating
saloon/casino in Miami during Prohibition. She sank in the Miami
River during the 1926 hurricane but was raised to become a fishing
barge anchored in the Gulf Stream. During a storm in 1930, she sank
for the last time on a shoal in 10 feet of water off Key Biscayne.
The Half Moon can teach us about Miami’s maritime history and
underwater archaeological while providing a day of great
shallow-water snorkeling and diving with our expert archaeologists
to inform and delight you.
Join our marine archaeology field guides as we bring the history of
the Half Moon to life. Dive and snorkel on this colorful wreck amid
the splendors of Biscayne Bay while you explore firsthand Miami’s
only Underwater Archaeological State Preserve for a true day of
Maritime history and discovery.

We
think that this guide is the best in South Florida. Sample some of
the vast array of fishing we have in South Florida.
We offer a variety of different trips in the area from Everglades
City on the west coast, south to Islamorada in the Keys and north to
the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area on the east coast. This includes
fishing on the shallow flats, back in mangrove country, some
freshwater areas and in the channels around Miami and the Keys.
This is a full day of fly fishing. We fish the Keys, Everglades or
Biscayne Bay areas. All types of techniques--live baiting, spin
fishing, trolling and flyfishing--are possible. The guide can take
up to 3 people plus himself, but two is preferable, especially for
flats fishing. Bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook, redfish, seatrout,
shark, barracuda, snapper, grouper, jewfish, jack and many other
species are available.
