Believe it or not, over 70 movies were filmed on this
beautiful island.
You may feel as if you are sitting in a movie
theatre when you board these mini-buses, which
have been custom-built just for "viewing". You
will probably wish your local theatre was this
comfortable, and as personable, as you travel
back in time during this tour. One of the things
that sets this apart from other tours are the
tidbits of information, more like gossip, that
you learn about the movie productions. Another
thing that you will not find anywhere else is
the surround sound digital equipment and TVs
that are aboard each vehicle.
You will sing along as you travel through time
recalling the hits that accompany films such as
South Pacific and Blue Hawaii. And, as you ride
the countryside of Kauai, you will see clips of
those films as you pass by the actual locations.
You will surely work up an appetite and your
lunch is included. Enjoy a picnic lunch of
turkey Subs, pasta salad, chips, juice, water,
regular and diet sodas.
So just sit back and look for these favorites:
Voodoo Island with Boris Karloff, Frank
Sinatra's None But the Brave, Lilo and Stitch,
Outbreak, Jurassic Park, Honeymoon in Vegas,
Body Heat, Gilligan's Island and so many more
stops. |

We rate this
easy to moderate and extremely spellbinding. There are
actually three different trails on Nounou Mountain. Of the
three, the one you will travel is the prettiest, the longest
at around 2 miles each way, and the least steep.
You will find yourself trekking through dense forests of
native and exotic plants to a grassy picnic site near the
1,250-foot summit. Here the panoramic views of the entire
eastern half of the island can be seen.
Your guide will focus on Mt. Waialeale, one of the planet's
rainiest places. As you hike, you will learn how Kauai's
geologic history controls its climate and its unique
ecosystems.
You will spend a portion of your time at a lovely location
in the Wailua River region, once the home of Kauai's ruling
chiefs. The archaeological remains include the shrines and
ceremonial sites and is a interesting place to rest.
You will have earned a delicious lunch and it is included in
your tour. |

The only
snorkel trip showing off the southern coast and in a
wonderful 'small' way. The rocky shoreline of the Poipu
coast of Kauai has some of the most dramatic sites in
Hawaii, accessible only by boat. Here you will find the best
snorkeling on pristine reefs in waters teeming with Green
Sea Turtles, Spinner Dolphins and lots of exotic fish. The
famous Humpback Whales are present from December thru May.
You will find this excursion to be interesting, adventurous
and educational, with a little history lesson of the area as
well as narration on the marine environment. You'll have
easy access on and off of this 24 foot Zodiac boat. If you
are new to snorkeling, the crew will be happy to give you
instruction.
You should have about 2 hours of snorkeling time. All
snorkel equipment (masks, snorkel, fins, flotation vests,
dry bags for storage, corrective lenses and WETSUITS if you
desire) are provided. Bottled water, juice and soda are also
provided.
On the morning trip, a delicious deli lunch will be served,
featuring fresh sandwiches, chocolate Mac Nuts, taro chips
and a variety of fresh island fruit (pineapple, papaya,
apples, banana’s, etc.).
The afternoon trip includes local island and Hawaiian
snacks, including Kauai breadsticks, Kauai cookies, Mac
Nuts, granola bars and fresh island fruit. |

The ultimate
off-road expedition! You'll be picked up at the cruise ship
pier and transferred 30 minutes to the staging point. You'll
be introduced to your trusty stead, a Yamaha Kodiak 400cc
ATV. These fully automatic machines are simple to operate
and fun to ride. Never been on an ATV? No worries! Everyone
will receive a complete riding and safety instructions
before every tour. You will be furnished with a helmet and
other protective gear.
We'll head out single file over back roads, sugar cane
fields, hills and streams to our first stop, the famous
Wilcox Tunnel - 1/2 mile long, once used by the sugar cane
transports of the past. Emerging, we find ourselves in the
lush Haupu Valley, were agricultural fields meet the
wondrous Black Mountains. It was here that the opening scene
of Jurassic Park was filmed. The dinosaurs have long since
disappeared.
OK...here is what everyone is waiting for - the MUD SPLASH.
Since this area is very close to the wettest spot on earth,
you'll have a pretty good chance to zoom through one of the
mud filled pools. Please leave your good clothes at home.
Ready to wash off? Our next stop is Kahili Falls - you can,
if you wish, jump in, cool off and get cleaned up. There's a
rope swing available for the adventurous types. Lunch is
served here - sandwiches, cookies, juice and water. |

This
is the most authentic luau in Hawaii. The torches are lit,
the night is filled with music, and family members gather to
bring you a casual, relaxing and romantic dining experience
that starts off with the Imu Ceremony -
the unearthing of the traditional pig, cooked to perfection
in an underground oven.
A scrumptious dinner and thirst-quenching tropical cocktails
are served inside the luau hale. The luau meal features
traditional luau
favorites, tropical fruit and a special Hawaiian dessert
table.
Hawaiian musicians serenade dinners during the luau meal.
Young members of the family take the stage during the
entertainment, and even invite guests up on stage for a hula
lesson!

Beautiful
views from this challenging course. Imagine yourself walking
up to the first tee with a Pacific Ocean view in front of
you and Mount Haupu towering over you. This isn't a
dream.... this is Kauai's newest course. Robin Nelson,
Hawaii’s most prolific golf course architect, designed the
course to play around deep ravines and streams fed by fresh
mountain rain water. With the inspirational terrain and
calming mountain range backdrop, you'll find this course to
play differently under a variety of weather conditions of
wind and water. Nelson’s masterful architecture clearly
conveys the routes one should take to achieve textbook pars.
But he hints enticingly at ways to achieve gambling birdies
that can quickly turn into bogies or worse.
Sports Illustrated thought enough of this course to name it
one of the best golf courses in the United States. |
