My husband and I went
on the cave tubing excursion with Joe. This is
another wonderful vendor! Joe told us interesting
things about Belize the whole way to the site and
then our river guide, told us interesting things
on the way to and down the river. They both took
care of us very, very well. The meal afterwards
was also exceptional. This was truly an enjoyable
trip. We also really appreciated only having 2
other people with us instead of the hordes from
the cruise ships. We also traveled by
air-conditioned van instead of the converted
school buses with no air conditioning!

THANK YOU
for a great great zoo tour with Joe!! He was
there HOURS before we had to leave (and we came
early so it worked out great!). We four moms
from Calif. felt safe with him, and he was a
gentleman and verrryy informative. His van was
spotless and he had arisen at 4am from his home
1.5 hrs. away and took a bus to work and then
filled up the van to pick us up. WOW…! He
answered our questions in detail, had a head-set
on and was very helpful at the zoo showing us
where the animals hid. He even made
spider-monkey noises and they RESPONDED!! We
were just sooooooo grateful for his help, and
humbleness. He’s stopped on the side of the
road to let us take photos, and was never in a
hurry. So thanks a million; I’d use your site
in a second and you can use this for a
reference…Many Many thanks!

AND MORE IN THE JUNGLES OF BELIZE

It
was an adventure in the jungle more than just a
ride on a ranch. This was the best trip in a 7
day cruise. We arrived in Belize an hour early
and our driver, Carlos, was already there to
meet us. He took us thru the city. Carlos
explained the history and current events of the
city to us as we traveled. Once there, we saw a
beautiful paradise in the jungle! We were served
fresh squeezed orange juice before our ride. I
can't pick a word to use to describe the fun we
had. It was, amazing, great, wonderful,
exciting! If anyone were to ask me what I would
expect out of a horseback ride in the jungle,
and I thought of the best ride I could, this
would have been it! We walked, trotted,
cantered. Saw monkeys in the trees. Rode under a
canopy of palms, along mud trails, up and down
embankments, through orange and teak groves and
in the Belize river. After the horseback ride we
went on a boat ride down the Belize river. The
boat was just a small boat for going down river.
It was beautiful, calm and serene. Lunch was
delicious. When you go on this adventure, do not
expect anything fancy, and you will not be
disappointed. Everything is simple and
beautiful, although very comfortable. It was the
highlight of our cruise!!! I did and will
continue to recommend this outing to anyone
going to Belize.
*I would also like to add a comment about
ShoreTrips.com itself. After we were on our
cruise, our schedule was changed so that we were
to be in Belize on Thursday instead of Friday
like originally planned. I sent an email to
ShoreTrips stating this and asked if it would be
possible to change the date of our excursion. I
received an email the next day saying it had
been taken care of and someone would meet us on
Thursday. For someone new to cruising, this was
a relief that it had been handled so promptly
and that we were still able to go on our ride in
Belize.
Thank you all at ShoreTrips for making mine and
my sisters first cruise such a memorable event
and one that will be treasured for a lifetime!
