See St. John's highlights (on the
hike) and low lights (on the snorkel). The mission of this
company is to promote the natural and cultural history of St. John and
to protect its pristine beauty in a safe and enjoyable adventure. In
this guided hike, the visitor will see, smell, and discover the
natural habitat that the islanders know and love. After this
submersion in the environment and in it's history, you will emerge
with a sense of enlightenment and pride in your USVI National Park.
This particular hike was developed just for cruisers arriving in St.
John and St. Thomas. It is a gentle hike but still lets you see the
wild side of the island. As you walk, you will talk but mostly listen
to the history of the charming island of St. John. After about 1 hr
and 45 minutes, you will find yourself at Honeymoon Beach. A swim and
snorkel will feel perfect. Snorkel gear is provided, as well as
professional instructors. You probably know already that St. John's
clear water is famous everywhere and, if you are only going to look
down into the world underwater, this would be the best opportunity.
We've allowed 1 hr 30 minutes for playtime at the beach. If you
prefer, you can skip the water portion and easily catch a cab into
town for a small fare.
If not, you will be accompanied back to your starting point by your
new friends. |

A sightseeing tour of the island
and then a stop at the National Park's fabulous beach. St.
John's is famous for its beautiful white sandy beaches and this tour
will give you the chance to experience them for yourself. As you drive
along the coast, your guide will inform you of the island's customs,
economy, flora and fauna (watch for the donkeys) and you will be
astounded at the beauty here. After you see Cinnamon Bay and Trunk
Bay, you will stop at the National Park to swim or sunbathe. You can
tell your guide when you'd like to be picked up. He will return for
you to give you time to do some shopping in town or try some of that
luscious BBQ right at the pier. Be sure you allow enough time to catch
your ferry back to St. Thomas - it is always a good idea to
double-check island time vs. ship time. |

See the best of St. John, with a

rural, beautiful. These fun open air buses will show it all to you. As
you depart from Cruz Bay toward the center of the island, your guide
will tell you about the culture, history, economy and customs of St.
John while taking you to magnificent overlooks of the Caribbean Sea
and Atlantic Ocean. You'll also learn about the surrounding islands.

From St. Thomas, we will take you
to St. John... it's what the Caribbean used to be like.
Transportation will be waiting for you at the pier to take you to the
ferry that travels to St. John. It is about 30-40 minutes and an
interesting trip. Once you disembark at Cruz Bay, you will immediately
feel the vibrations that make this island special. Board an open-air
safari bus and you will see from the start why two-thirds of St. John
is a U.S. National Park. Your day will include a visit to the historic
Danish sugar plantation at Annaberg and a drive to the East End and
Coral Bay, where interesting artists hang out.
You will stop at the most photographed beach on St. John. You will
have time to grab some lunch at the grill on the beach. (Lunch is not
included.) Following this, we thought you might like to experience
this famous Trunk Bay for a little swimming and snorkeling at the
underwater trail. Equipment and instruction is provided. Changing and
showering facilities are available. Never fear - there is time for a
bit of shopping before you board the ferry home. |

Take
a dive without a tank. If you or your children love the water but are
hesitant to dive, try SNUBA. It's a shallow water dive system that's a
cross between snorkeling and scuba diving that everyone can enjoy. And
does! Explore the beauty of the underwater world in the easiest
and safest way possible. Try SnubaŽ! "Go beyond snorkeling" and breath
easily underwater without wearing heavy restrictive dive gear. You
snorkelers have kind of envied the divers. Now you can discover the
incredible coral formations and schools of colorful tropical fish as
you glide effortlessly through the beauty beneath the surface, feeling
safe and secure.
This bridges the gap between snorkeling and scuba diving. It allows
you to descend 20 feet while breathing through a long hose that's
connected to an air tank on the surface, mounted on a raft.
Not ready to don scuba tanks and take the plunge? SnubaŽ is for you!
Great family fun, ages 8 & up.
No snorkel or scuba experience needed.
Safe and easy.
No heavy equipment or time consuming training.
No certification necessary.
All equipment and instruction provided.
Personalized guided underwater tour.

A full day of kayaking and
snorkeling in the most beautiful waters of the world. Our full
day trips are a great way to explore the most remote parts of St. John
and the surrounding cays. We begin by going over complete kayak
instruction on the beach before setting out.
On our full day trip, we leave from the beach in Cruz Bay at 10 am,
paddle along the north shore of St. John to nearby Honeymoon Beach
where we go for a quick swim. Next, we paddle out to Henley Cay, a
small, uninhabited island which is part of the National Park, where
we'll stop for some excellent snorkeling. You'll be ready for our
picnic lunch by then, as well as the warmth of the noonday sun. From
there, we'll continue on to Lovango Cay where we'll take another look
under the surface with a little more snorkeling before returning to
Cruz Bay around 4 pm. |

DAY ADVENTURE REVIEW |

ST.
JOHN C. Shackelford - 7/8/2003 |
|
The
directions were accurate and detailed. Our
excursion was very private as it was only our
family and one other lady; we loved the
"one on one" attention. Our guide,
Jason, was great. He took us amazing snorkeling
spots with no one in sight. We saw star fish,
sea urchins, flounder, grouper, beautiful
colored fish, huge formations of coral, and
schools of small fish. We also saved $10.00/per
person by going through Shoretrips versus the
cruise ship excursions. We had a great time and
would not think twice about using shoretrips
again! |

in the Caribbean. Away from the hustle and bustle of the port of St.
John, you will glide quietly along the picture-perfect shoreline of
St. John island. Birdwatching and snorkeling will be incorporated into
your kayak adventure.
This half day trip is perfect for the beginner, as it includes
instruction on the beach before setting out. We leave from Cruz Bay,

Ride a Cannondale through the
Virgin Islands National Park Our tours are a great way to see the
Virgin Islands National Park, while riding our top-quality,
front-suspension Cannondale mountain bikes. We have several routes to
choose from, for both novice and experienced cyclists. We always begin
by going over some basic cycling instruction and riding tips.
This trip is perfect for the beginner who wants to see beautiful bays,
historic ruins, and learn about the flora and fauna on St. John. The
whole island is peppered with ancient ruins, some barely identifiable.
Bring your bathing suit if you want to cool off with a swim at one of
the beaches along the way. These sandy stretches are famous throughout
the Caribbean.
